Mary Black Is Back Gigging

Good news for Mary Black fans - her ongoing tour will now resume again this weekend after a recent illness forced her to cancel a string of gigs recently.

She was described at the time as being "extremely weak", but has now thankfully bounced back.

"We're happy to announce that Mary has improved significantly over the last few days and she has decided to resume her tour as advertised, starting this weekend with the Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon on Friday 27th and The Burnavon Theatre in Cookstown on Saturday 28th," it was stated on her website.

"Next weekend she'll play The Millennium Theatre in Derry on May 4th and Town Hall Theatre in Galway May 5th," the statement added.

Speaking With The Angel

So it was that I approached this, her latest offering, with some trepidation. After just one listen I was convinced that I had heard one of the albums of the year thus far.
