The Welsh wizards are over in September.
Our old pals Manic Street Preachers return to live duty on September 20 with a by their standards intimate show in the Dublin Olympia, tickets for which are €33.50 and go on sale on Friday July 12.
The chaps will be plugging the September 13 release here of Rewind The Film, which is trailed a week earlier by lead single ‘Show Me The Wonder’.
The title-track is a duet between James Dean Bradfield and Richard Hawley who enthuses: "I am so chuffed to have been asked to sing with the mighty Manics, can't tell you what it means to me. The whole experience is something I'll treasure forever – I love the Manics and what they stand for and to be a tiny part of that means the world to me.”
Also lending their respective dulcet tones to ‘The Sullen Welsh Heart’ and ‘4 Lonely Roads’ are Lucy Rose and Cate Le Bon.
In a classic example of mixing business with pleasure, the band are just back from New Zealand and Australia where they played a series of gigs to tie in with the Lions tour where they were joined on stage by Jamie Roberts.
