Followup to Pure Heroine coming?
We're coming up on three long years without a new Lorde album, but it seems there is hope.
In June, Lorde posted an Instagram picture of herself in the studio, and now she's tweeted that she's "made some of the most exciting breakthroughs on this record so far".
The 'Royals' singer revealed that she recently spent three solitary days in the wilderness to write, indicating that new music may be around the corner.

Lorde hasn't released a solo project since her 2013 breakthrough Pure Heroine, but she did curate the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. 1 and performed at tributes to Nirvana and David Bowie.
Frequent Bowie collaborator Mike Garson has said the late glam rocker was a big Lorde fan and thought "she was the future of music".
