One of the most popular stages returns next week featuring Lucius, Izzy Bizzu, We Cut Corners, Daithí, Pleasure Beach and Saint Sister
The Whelan’s Live stage makes a welcome return to Longitude this summer showcasing some of the finest up & coming bands to Marlay Park continuing the iconic venues ethos of showcasing quality new artists.
Performing across the weekend are a mixture of some amazing international and homegrown acts such as Brooklyn indie pop group Lucius, alt-folk duo Bear’s Den, British singer-songwriter Izzy Bizzu plus highly rated Irish acts such as Galway producer Daithí, Dublin based duo We Cut Corners atmos-folk pair Saint Sister, Belfast synth pop band Pleasure Beach.
They will be joined by Seattle based indie pop artist Perfume Genius, grunge quartet Otherkin, Swedish rockers Elias, award winning singer-songwriters, from New Zealand Marlon Williams along with the UK’s Declan McKenna and Shura, Zimbabwe-born British musician Rationale and Joseph, sibling trio from the Pacific Northwest.
Local battle of the bands competition winners Depth Perception and Félim will open the stage on Friday and Saturday night respectively.

This summers Longitude festival is set to be the biggest and the best yet. Headlined by Grammy award winning rap star Kendrick Lamar on Friday, record breaking electro chart toppers Major Lazer on Saturday and top indie band The National bringing the festival to a close on Sunday.
They are joined by a host of amazing acts including The Lumineers, Run The Jewels, Jamie XX, Chvrches, special guests The Coronas, Tyler the Ceator, Father John Misty, Roisin Murphy, Stormzy and many more.
