Music, comedy, circus performance and more set to hit Marlay Park
We're getting very, very close to the annual adventure to Marlay Park for Longitude, so the confirmation of plans for the Dirty Old Town Speakeasy has whetted our appetite something wicked this afternoon.
Among the highlights from a musical perspective are a performance of the Tom Waits biopic The Piano Has Been Drinking, a guitar orchestra featuring icons such as Nick Seymour and Clive Barnes, and some cheery Caribbean charisma from the likes of Interskalatic, Beached Whale, Kingston and After the Ibis.
Danny Dowling’s Travelling Comedy Show will be bringing the laughs, with Willa White, Rua Ward and Ryan Cullen among the rib-ticklers-in-chief, while the Brownbread Mixtape collective will be wrapping their tongues around spoken word for the weekend. With Moe’s Circus pulling up with burleque and circus entertainment to boot, there'll be plenty to keep you entertained on the fringes of the festival in 10 days time!
