Little Green Cars in at No. 1
Debut album Absolute Zero tops the charts in its first week...
Fresh from a Vicar St. headliner (see next week's issue of Hot Press), Dublin five-piece Little Green Cars have toppled Canadian singer Michael Bublé from his helm at the top of the Irish album chart, with their debut LP Absolute Zero.
In at No. 2 in this week's charts are US indie-rockers Vampire Weekend, with their third studio album Modern Vampires Of The City, one place ahead of gravel-voiced crooner Rod Stewart, who occupies third, with his new album Time.
Phoenix Park-bound Justin Timberlake has dropped four places this week, down to No. 9 from No.5 with The 20:20 Experience, while singer-songwriter Passenger has slipped from No. 2 in the charts down to No.6.
Elsewhere, the announcement of One Direction's Croke Park show in May 2014 has seen their album Up All Night shoot up 14 places for No. 34 to No. 20.
