Lisa Hannigan's latest release At Swim leads the charge for best album.
Hannigan's long awaited third album is a sure sign that the talented Dubliner has left her writer's block behind her. The album is probably her most interesting and vulnerable to date, with its minimal accompaniment and introspective nature. It stands as a testimony to her versatility especially in the haunting 'Anahorish' - an acapella version of Seamus Heaney's poem. Definitely a worthy advocate for best album.
It has been a good week for Frank Ocean who finally dropped his second studio album Blond. Picture This and Christine and the Queens also feature highly with new albums Picture This and Chaleur Humaine
