The iconic Dublin band will perform their first gig in two years to celebrate
Legendary Irish rockers Lir are reuniting on stage to celebrate the world premiere of a new documentary on the band's career. They play a one-off show at The Workman's Club in Temple Bar, Dublin on Friday, February 18. It will be their first gig together since the release of their Lir Live album released in 2009.
Irish filmmaker Shimmy Marcus (Soulboy, Headrush) is the man charting the band's highs and lows in the documentary Good Cake Bad Cake.
The documentary will screen during the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, the programme of which launches on Tuesday January 25 in Tripod.

The full rundown of films being screened between February 17-27 will be unveiled at that time, but some films that are definitely confirmed (aside from Lir's) include The Way, directed by Emilio Estevez and starring Martin Sheen, and The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse, the film which catapulted Rudolph Valentino to superstardom.
Tickets for The Workman's Club performance on Friday February 18 go on sale Wednesday January 12. Tickets are priced at €12.50.
