The iconic festival reveals its first big name act...
Something of a nostalgic, kitsch and highly-enjoyable-from-the-comfort-of-the-sofa, the Sunday afternoon slot at Glastonbury has seen some tremendous turns over the years from the likes of Kenny Rogers, Leonard Cohen, Brian Wilson, Paul Simon and Dolly Parton.
Adding his name to that illustrious list at next year's three-day Worthy Farm bash is none other than Lionel Richie, whose dulcet tones, we suspect, will fit in just fine.
"I'm really excited to play Glastonbury next year as it’s one of the most iconic festivals in the world," Richie gushed to The Guardian.

"It has a phenomenal history and the alumni of artists who have previously played is incredible so I’m honoured to be joining that club. It will be a really special moment for me and I can’t wait to share it with everyone. I can now say 'Yes, I'm playing Glastonbury.'"
With Richie the first official big name artist to be confirmed for the festival, speculation continues to mount over the possible headliners, with names such as the Slane-bound Foo Fighters, Muse and AC/DC leading the pack.
