Her tribute to England lacks the tactical awareness and even a bit of the quality of some of the Continental World Cup songs, but admirable in its bravery and dedication to route one song production.
Lily Allen has released her World Cup anthem, 'Bass Like Home', a tribute to the English national team and it's pursuit for international glory. While the actual references to the World Cup are virtually nonexistent, aside from taking credit for unleashing Gazza, with his iconic weeping and Orange Order themed celebrations, on the world.
The song focuses more on what Allen likes about England. The usual suspects all get a reference, and Allen gets downright wistful as she reflects on her country's former ability to conquer the world. Will this song power the English team to regain its former ability to conquer the world? Time will only tell.
