Yes, you really did read that correctly!
Kevin Allen, the brains behind the Flat Lake Literary & Arts Festival 2010, has confirmed that his niece Lily will be dueting with Crystal Swing at the multimedia event.
According to Kevin: "Someone who’s coming in just to see Lily Allen is barking up the wrong tree. Lily’s going to be doing a number with Crystal Swing for a bit of a laugh."
While Kevin accepts that booking a band like Crystal Swing can be quite risky it doesn't faze him: "They’re just fantastic, cheesy kitsch. It seems that they’ve hit a certain zeitgeist with post-crash sentimentalism." Indeed.
For more on the Flat Lake Festival and Crystal Swing, make sure you pick up the next issue of Hot Press, out this Thursday, May 20.
