In A Perfect World continues to be perfect for many.
So, after fizzing and popping in their 7up unplugged gig and selling out the O2. Kodaline climb to the dazing heights of number one again in the Irish album chart.
The top five albums this week were all new entries apart from Kodaline, Kian Egan’s Home slotted in nicely at number two, Symphonica by George Michael makes number three. Kiss Me Once by the pop princess Kylie Minogue takes home the 4th place medal, and finally bringing it home at number five is The Entertainer - Live by Derek Ryan, who coincidentally tops the Irish Indie chart too, more on that in a bit.
Other notable inclusions are Elbow, with last weeks number one album The Take Off And Landing Of Everything having a bumpy landing dropping to eight, tough times. The torrent of new releases also dropped Ellie Gouldings Halycron Days dropping from two to six.
Interestingly Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories popped back in at number 24, odd one.
In the world of the singles (not tinder related) Duke Dumont’s most pre-ordered single of the year ‘I Got U’ predictably conquered the chart, with the Duke going from strength to strength so far this year.
The other top three podium finishes went to Pharrell who continues to proclaim his whimsical melancholy in ‘Happy’ at two, and Clean Bandit take bronze with ‘Rather Be’ at three.

No new entries high up the chart, with the highest coming from Little Mix and their cover of Cameo’s ‘Word Up’ for sport relief at 13. I’m sure when the actual relief show happens that will improve.
Movers and shakers include ‘Higher Love’ by James Vincent McMorrow, shoots up from 26 to 4, and Eden’s ‘From Hozier’ leapfrogging into the top ten, going from 34 to 8. Crikey.
As mentioned before in the Indie chart, The Entertainer - Live by Derek Ryan is the champion. With last weeks topper The Wagon Wheel Show by Nathan Carter falling to two and a new entry at three with War On Drugs’ Lost In The Dream at three.
Charts, charts everywhere. More next week I’m sure.
