Kings of Leon strongly shook up the album chart this week with their polarising comeback album Mechanical Bull heading straight to the prime position.
Their first album in three years (since Come Around Sundown in 2010), it has divided critics but nevertheless blasted its way to chart success.
Other recent cover stars the Artic Monkeys still hold strong at number two with album AM, which was recently nominated for a Mercury Prize.
Irish talent continues to dominate the chart this week, with Kodaline’s ‘In A Perfect World’ at #3 and ‘Friends for Life’ by the acclaimed ballad group High Kings at #5.
Staying Irish (for the week that’s in it), another strong showing from current Hot Press cover stars The Strypes, who hold court in the top ten at #8 with ‘Snapshot’.
