Katy Perry holds court at top of singles chart

As Miley Cyrus' antics pay off...

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 13 Sep 2013

Katy Perry celebrates two consecutive weeks atop the Irish Singles Chart this week as 'Roar' continues to fend off stiff competition from Avicii, OneRepublic and a resurgent Miley Cyrus.

It's as you were for Avicii as 'Wake Me Up' stays at #2 while OneRepublic's 'Counting Stars' climbs to third spot. Ellie Goulding sticks at #4 with 'Burn' but the big mover this week is the ever-shy and retiring Miley Cyrus whose 'Wrecking Ball' jumps a whopping 30 places to take fifth place. Any publicity is good publicity, right?

Rounding out the top ten are Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Lana Del Rey, One Direction, Miley Cyrus again and Imagine Dragons. For the full rundown, click here.
