As if Wu-tang Clan’s record wasn’t enough for the CEO, he now wants to stop The Life of Pablo from ever being released
No stranger to making headlines for all the wrong reasons, pharmaceutical CEO Martin Shkreli has made an offer to buy Kanye’s new album for no less than ten million dollars.
Kanye’s album, The Life Of Pablo, is slated for release later today. Shkreli has made it abundantly obvious that the purpose of his ridiculous offer is to delay the release of the album, tweeting:
“Kanye and his label are legally required to take my offer letter to their Board of Directors. This should delay the album by a few days.”
Not only that, but Shkreli’s offer is contingent on receiving the LP before it ever makes it into the hands of the public, “last minute can I buy your album out so it don’t get released publicly”.
In case we thought a series of tweets wasn’t the most official way to make an offer of that magnitude, Shkreli tweeted a picture of his actual offer letter:
“I am writing to you in hopes of convincing you to withhold the release of your forthcoming studio album,” the message reads.
“Instead of releasing this product for your millions of fans, I ask you to sell this recording solely to me, for the price of $10,000,000. I believe you (and your partners) will find this financial arrangement more attractive than your current course of action.”
Kanye has yet to respond.
