The Life of Pablo is now available on several streaming sites
Kanye West is being sued for allegedly tricking fans into signing up for his friend Jay Z's Tidal streaming service by saying his latest album would only be available there.
In fact The Life Of Pablo was soon also available on iTunes, rival streaming service Spotify, Google Play and even on his own personal website.
Back in February the rapper tweeted:
"My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale... You can only get it on Tidal."
According to TMZ, the class action lawsuit filed by fan Justin Baker-Rhett claims this announcement caused subscriptions to go through the roof, in effect saving the failing service, as the sudden spike in subscribers brought in an addition $84 million.

Not only is Kanye named in the lawsuit, but so is l Jay Z's company Carter Enterprises and Tidal itself.
Justin Baker-Rhett wants TIDAL to delete the data of users that signed up to TIDAL to hear The Life of Pablo, arguing that the subscribers and their information could be worth up to $84 million for the Jay Z-owned company.
His lawyer said: "Mr. Baker-Rhett believes that superstars are required to follow the same rules as everyone else. Even if their streaming service is struggling, they can't trick millions of people into paying money (and giving up personal information) just to boost valuation numbers."
