She's opening 'The New Standard' concert series in New York's SubCulture next month.
Galway's Julie Feeney has built up quite the following on the far side of the Atlantic in recent years, selling out shows and seeing her third album Clocks doing great business stateside. It's little wonder, then, that the extremely talented songwriter has been selected to kick off a brand new, boundary-pushing concert series, 'The New Standard' in the Big Apple.
Feeney will perform in New York's SubCulture on Bleecker Street next month, with four shows planned. If you're in the city, you can catch her on September 5 and 6, playing a 7pm and 10pm set on both nights. She will be joined by a New York-based six piece ensemble and will mix songs from her back catalogue with selections from her forthcoming opera BIRD, due to go into full production in 2016.
