Three nights of great gigs await you...
If you're not a Directioner bound for 3Arena to see Styles and co do their boyband thing this evening, you might still be contemplating your Friday night plans.
Our gig of the day is long since sold-out, but Dublin heads with a love for gonzo hard rock would do well to head for The Grand Social, as Mutoid Man take the stage.
Bringing together Cave In's Stephen Brodsky, Converge's Ben Koller and Nick Cageao, by way of describing their sound they recently told Rolling Stone: "Combine every leg split Jean-Claude Van Damme has ever done in a movie and imagine what that would sound like musically in your brain."
Can't argue with that.
Belfast can look forward to both Bell X1 in Empire Music Hall and alt. guitar hero-turned frontman Johnny Marr in The Limelight.
Meanwhile as we speak The Minutes are preparing to conjure up a garage rock storm in Kilkenny's Set Theatre.
SATURDAY
Can't beat a freebie but this is a particularly quality one.
Temple Bar's Meeting House Square is the place to be for music fans in the capital as a trio of the capital's finest indie acts give the people a free show.
The gig, which features performances from Anderson, Darling and The Hot Sprockets (with Eric Lalor taking care of MC duties), is the culmination of the Dublin2020 campaign as the Bid Book, which outlines why Dublin should win the title of European Capital of Culture, is handed over.
Free entry for Dublin2020Live is on a first come, first-serve basis.
Meanwhile, over in Unitarian Church, Adrian Crowley will be hypnotising everyone with that voice... In Belfast's Voodoo, Mutoid Man continue their Irish adventure.
SUNDAY
Can't let go of the weekend? Johnny Marr heads south for a show in The Olympia Theatre.
The former Smiths six-stringer has released two fine solo albums in recent times, and this month brings live album Adrenaline Baby, featuring his interpretations of a number of classic Smiths songs. Things could get nostalgic...
