Jester use texts for chart bid
Thurles band Jester are using new fandangled text-for-music technology in a bid to enter the charts.
The band have called for fans to buy their debut single, 'Maria', via text message in a system set up by www.downloadmusic.ie.
Fans can text to pay the €1 for the track, which is then available to download online.
This allows the band access to a nationwide market; the only other means of distribution is via the 10 outlets of Heartbeat City.
'Maria' will be available to buy - and text for - from May 4.
