Part of the actress' campaign to make girls feel less scared or ashamed about changes in their body.
All the gold stars to actress Jessica Biel, who has teamed up with Saundra Pelletier, founder of the non-profit WomanCare Global, to make a series of sex-ed videos to educate young women about their bodies and sexuality. It’s a natural second step for Biel, who has spent the past couple years distributing feminine care products to women in the developing world with Project Dignity, which aims to donate reusable menstrual cups. But Biel wasn’t content with that, and decided to tackle problems on her home soil, such as the fact that only 22 out of 50 states in the U.S. require public schools to teach sex education. “We want girls to know what their [body is going through] so they don’t feel scared or ashamed or gross,” Biel said. Brava.
