The guitarist's last album was 2010's Emotion and Commotion.
Jeff Beck has announced the release date for his new album, Loud Hailer. It will be his first new record in six years.
The eleven track LP will be released on July 15 on Atco Records. No tracks from the record have been released yet however the first single, 'Live In The Dark' will be released soon. For inspiration Beck has looked at "some of the nasty things I see going on in the world today". He also said he "loved the idea of being at a rally and using this loud device to shout my point of view". Beck last released new material with Emotion and Commotion in 2010.
He has recorded a total of 17 studio albums in his solo career. To coincide with the new album Beck will also publish his first official book. BECK01 will include 400 rare photographs from his career and text charting his history in music. It will be released on July 12. Beck will also begin a tour of the US with blues legend Buddy Guy in August.
