There's also good news for Professor Green, The Coronas & Villagers
Eminem’s four week reign at the top of the Irish album chart has been brought to an end by Jedward.
Yup, the brothers Grimes have crashed straight in at number one with their Planet Jedward album, which contains their, er, unique take on classics by the likes of Blink-182, M, Vanilla Ice and The Undertones and The Beastie Boys.
The week’s highest new entry at number 18 is Professor Green’s Alive Till I’m Dead, with Sting’s Symphonicities at number 40 and 3OH!3’s Streets Of Gold at number 79 other notable debutantes.
Meanwhile there are big jumps for The Coronas’ Tony Was An Ex-Con which moves from 30 to 17 and Villagers’ Becoming A Jackal, up from 38 to 20.
There’s consolation for Eminem in the singles chart with the Rihanna-assisted ‘Love The Way You Lie’ replacing Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg’s ‘California Gurls’ at the summit. Highest new entry at 21 is Jedward’s ‘All The Small Things’.
