In conversation with Hot Press’ Colm O’Regan, the jazz star reveals that he and the ‘Happy’ singer have “started something that we’re yet to finish”
The start of next month will see Jamie Cullum hitting the Millennium Forum as part of the City of Derry Jazz Festival – and inviting the choir from St Mary’s School to join him on stage. It’s typical of a man who puts tremendous value on the importance of collaboration.
“Collaboration,” he says, “is essential to keep a healthy, creative mind. You need to share ideas with others, and get fresh ideas for yourself.”
And it’s a very well-known name that is at the top of Cullum’s wish-list to share some studio time with soon.
“Pharrell and I started something which we’re yet to finish,” he reveals. “I hope we will get to finish it at some point.”
