The renowned Hot Press writer's words on Dylan Thomas were read by Jim Parc Nest in the very room where Thomas was born.
Jackie Hayden's script on Welsh poet Dylan Thomas has been released on CD by Fflach Records in Wales to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of Thomas this year.
The script was read for the recording by the Welsh Archdruid Jim Parc Nest.
As Hayden explains: “The CD was originally released as part of my book A Map of Love – Around Wales With Dylan Thomas, and the response to it was so positive that one of the top record companies in Wales decided to put it out as a separate item. It was recorded in the very room where Dylan Thomas was born in Swansea, and as a long-term fan of the poet that was a terrific experience for me.”
Hayden has contributed extensive sleeve notes to the CD which also has a range of photographs relevant to the poet and taken by Wyn Jones.
Fflach Records is run by Wyn’s brother Richard, who says: “It’s really exciting for us to mark the Dylan Thomas anniversary with a CD that combines the talents of such admired figures as Jim Parc Nest and Jackie Hayden.”
The CD is being distributed throughout Britain and is also available from the Fflach website at [link]www.fflach.co.uk[/link].
