Following his storming performance on the Late Late Show last week, Jack L has announced the release of a 24-track double-album.
The collection will be called The Story So Far-The Essential Collection and Jack will launch the album with a special appearance at HMV Grafton Street, Dublin on Friday October 16 at 5.30 pm. The album’s release will be followed by an extensive tour, including a live concert at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Friday, November 13.
The Story So Far takes a retrospective look at Jack’s career spanning more than a decade. The album was inspired by author Anna McPartlin’s latest novel So What If I am Broken which is based on the lives of fictional fans of Jack. The compilation will include all of Jack’s most sought-after songs, re-mastered and featuring bonus tracks personally selected by him.
‘Little Man’ and ‘Hallelujah’ both feature a choir, while ‘Old Man River’ includes a full orchestra. ‘Ed Wood’ is included in all its live frenzy, alongside Jack’s moving version of ‘Crazy’ as performed live on the Ray D’Arcy Show.
Other songs are taken from Jack L’s 7 platinum-selling albums to date and also includes rare unheard live and bonus tracks.
