The countdown to the debut of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is well and truly on.
JK Rowling has reopened the Hogwarts portal to the delight of millions around the world with the long-awaited sequel Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
The sequel will come to life in a theater spectacle at London's Palace Theatre. The plotline of the story has been kept under lock and key. All that is known is that we have jumped forward 19 years since the epic Deathly Hallows events and now we will see Harry Potter as a Ministry of Magic employee and his troubled son Albus Severus Potter.
However, Rowling gave fans a little teaser into the works behind the two-part play. She has worked intensively with director John Tiffany and playwright John Thorne on formatting the wizarding world and doing it justice. In the short featurette, Rowling identifies what she wants to ultimately achieve from the play; "This will be such an incredible theatrical experience that I’d love us to be able to surprise people and move people in the natural way that a story should surprise and move people.”
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will lift its curtains on July 30.
