He's joining Fergus' band Interference for Cork & Dublin gigs next year.
The life and music of the great Fergus O’Farrell will be celebrated in Cork Opera House (February 2) and Vicar St., Dublin (5).
Glen Hansard will be guesting with Interference, the band the West Cork singer fronted prior to his death in February this year from the effects of muscular dystrophy.
Tickets priced €35 go on sale on Friday November 4 with all proceeds going to Brú Columbanus who provide ‘home from home’ accommodation in Cork for the relatives of seriously ill patients.
In their 30 years together, Interference amassed a huge cult following but, with Fergus ill and latterly in a wheelchair, weren’t able to partake of the non-stop touring that would have undoubtedly earned them mainstream success.
