We – and them – are down in Mitchelstown over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
The Fratellis are the latest act to be confirmed for the Hot Press Hot Spot, which makes its bow over the August Bank Holiday Weekend at Indiependence in Mitchelstown. Along with crowd-pleasers like ‘Henrietta’, ‘Whistle For The Choir’ and ‘Chelsea Dagger’, the Glaswegians will be showcasing their new We Need Medicine album, which is due in the autumn.
Also joining us for a packed three-days of live interviews, acoustic sessions and signings are Colm O’Regan, Hot Sprockets, Tarantella Fall, We Cut Corners, Leaders Of Men, Le Galaxie, Young Wonder, Vann Music, Beardyman, Nanu Nanu, The Original Rudeboys, Ryan Sheridan, Windings, Toby Kaar, The Chapters and Sorcha Richardson.
Excited? You bet your life we are! Meanwhile, Hot Press managed to catch up with De La Soul during a rare down moment on their Kings Of The Mic Tour with LL Cool J, Ice Cube and Public Enemy. Find out what they had to say in our next issue, which hits the stands on August 1.
