This spring sees the return of one of Ireland’s finest songsmiths with a track to inspire music lovers after a long hard winter.

‘Birds Carry Souls’ is the first official release by Ian Whitty & The Exchange since their album The Lucky Caller No.9 yielded several radio singles including ‘Not On Your Side’ and ‘Houndstooth Shirt’.

‘Birds Carry Souls’ sees the band return with an ode to love lost, life and hope. The song was inspired by a story told to Ian about a robin that started following a woman after her husband passed away.

Ian Whitty & The Exchange are set to tour before the summer with more new material on the way later in 2014. In the meantime, reacquaint yourself with their music through one of the most poignant songs your are likely to hear this year.
