Ian Brown has made an announcement on MySpace, stating that he will play at Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
The concert on October 28 is part of his massive 22-date to promote new studio album The World Is Yours.
The former Stone Roses frontman’s fifth record is released on September 21, preceded by single ‘Illegal Attacks’ – a duet with Sinéad O’Connor – on September 14.
The album also includes a re-working of instrumental fragment ‘On Track’, which previously featured on the soundtrack to Russian action yarn Paragraph 78.
This latest announcement follows on from the Arcade Fire’s confirmation of an October 24 slot in MCD’s series of concerts at the Park.
The venue is expected to attract crowds of 10,000 for each of the eight concerts planned between October 16 and November 5, promising a spectacle not seen since the 1932 Eucharistic Congress.
