Songs Of Innocence can't topple Hozier, which remains imperious at the summit of the Irish Albums Chart.
Having debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 (a very big deal indeed) this week, at home Hozier is still shifting copies of his self-titled debut album at a terrific rate. Hozier has now been at No. 1 on the Irish Albums Chart for a month.
It means U2 have to settle for second position. Their high placing, however, does prove they still have huge pulling power when you consider that Songs Of Innocence was gifted to every iTunes user for free last month.
Ed Sheeran's x shifts down to No. 3, while there are a further two new entries making up the Top 5.
Ella Henderson's Chapter One is just below Mr. Sheeran, while recent Hot Press cover stars Delorentos see their Night Becomes Light arrive at No. 5.
Plenty of new names elsewhere – Tommy Fleming's The West's Awake is at No. 10, while Sweet Talker by Jessie J and You+Me by Rose Ave. follow Fleming, in that order.
