Hozier has been named among the nominees for International Artist of the Year at the upcoming BBC Music Awards.
The Bray bluesman has already picked up some serious hardware at the Billboard and Ivor Novello awards this year - as well as nominations at the Grammys and the MTV Awards - but he faces stiff competition if he's to add another gong to his collection.
Taylor Swift and The Weeknd are also in the running for the prize, as are Foo Fighters, Major Lazer and Prince. Sterling company, we're sure you'll agree, which gives some idea as to the esteem in which our man is held.
Domestic honours, meanwhile, will be the subject of much jostling and competition between Adele, Ed Sheeran, Jamie XX, Florence + The Machine, Foals and Years & Years.
