The Wicklow native is back with a bang.
Hozier is back. He recently teased fans with a sneak peak at a new single on social media. Last night he followed that up with the release of the full track, 'Better Love'.
The song was recored in the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. The single is also the first piece of new material released by Hozier since his self titled debut album in 2014. The video itself consists of footage of Hozier playing a grand piano in a dark room with select clips from the movie edited in.

"I was struck by the theme of endurance, and endurance of love through such a hostile environment. I wanted the song to be an intimate reassurance as spoken from one lover to another—one that might be issued in hardship or doubt", Hozier said.
The song will feature in the soundtrack for the upcoming movie The Legend of Tarzan. The movie is a live action adaption of the classic 1999 Disney animated movie, Tarzan. It stars Alexander Skarsgard as the titular jungle man and Margot Robbie as his wife Jane Porter.
In trademark Hozier style the track opens with spare piano accompaniment and haunting vocals. Drums contribute to the build up before the powerful chorus kicks in. A blaring brass section and string section provides an extra kick for the final chorus. Watch the video and hear the track in full below.
