Former JJ72 bassist set to debut new tracks in Dublin's Workman's Club.
Following the success of her debut solo release, The River Cry, in spring of last year former JJ72 bassist, Hilary Woods, will bring her own brand of sweeping, ethereal pop to the Workman’s Club on Sunday April 13. With a new album slated for imminent release, Woods will surely be eager to debut her latest collection of moody, atmospheric numbers. Woods’ beguiling song-craft will undoubtedly be a fine appetiser for the dark, brooding and intense set to follow courtesy of Revelator Orchestra.
Formed in 2009 and featuring the gruff, impassioned vocals of acclaimed author Peter Murphy, the Revelator Orchestra bring to mind not only the work of musical visionaries like Tom Waits but also the other-worldly prose of junkie-lit icons like William Burroughs.
