Hard Working Class Heroes wants you

The festival is looking for applicants for its 10th year.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 27 Jun 2012

This year's Hard Working Class Heroes festival will be taking over Dublin from Thursday, October 4 to Saturday, October 6 with shows in the The Button Factory, The Grand Social, The Mercantile, Meeting House Square, Twisted Pepper and The Workman’s Club.

The festival is now calling for the best and brightest musicians to apply for a slot to play at the event and for Ireland's photographers to submit their best music related shots for a chance to feature in a HWCH Photographers Exhibition.

If you think you have what it takes get yourself to the festival website, www.hwch.net before the closing date July 26.

Living up to its reputation for excellent additional events and activities, the festival's 10th birthday will also feature the HWCH conference, mentor sessions, a band-tips section and the return of ‘HWCH And The City’ which will see bands playing free gigs in coffee shops, bookshops and many more places around the city centre.

Early bird tickets are available from www.entertainment.ie/tickets/ until July 26 and will cost you €35 plus booking fee. Weekend tickets will set you back €45 while nightly tickets come in at €20.

Keep an eye on the festival website for constant updates between now and October.
