The final act of this year's Big Break, in association with ALCATEL ONETOUCH, came last night as one of Ireland's hottest rising stars - and one of Ireland's hottest acts period - thrilled the crowd at an intimate gig in Dublin
4 Dame Lane was packed to its stylishly exposed rafters last night, as the curtain was brought down on this year's Big Break, in association with ALCATEL ONETOUCH.
The winner, Ciaran Lavery, showcased his awesome voice with a solo performance; his charming banter almost as impressive as his melancholic and melodic tunes.
Soon after, fellow Hot Press cover star Niamh Farrell led HamsandwicH in a barnstorming performance. With seven musicians on stage, they would probably have appreciated the extra room afforded by the Olympia stage which they graced two weeks ago, but last night's cosy confines ensured the energy almost lifted the roof clean off.
A night of celebration - which saw three lucky fans leave with the brand new ALCATEL ONETOUCH Idol 3 - was capped off by a rollicking cover of Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love'; a fitting sentiment on a fantastic evening.
