The singing siblings reveal that the upcoming album is 'more organic' than its predecessor Days Are Gone.
The yet untitled follow-up album is headed for an August release.
Speaking to the Rolling Stone, Este, Danielle and Alana Haim divulged some details on the album. After commissioning a song for a film, the trio were dealt a creative hit and writing the new album began. The breakout success that came with Days Are Gone meant that HAIM spent a lot of time touring, traveling and relatively little time in the studio. After taking a small hiatus and trying to incorporate a sense of normality back into their everyday live, the girls decided it was time to create music again.

This time, they took a different approach which ultimately leads to the second album being 'more organic'. "All of our band rehearsals until recently were in our living room, and we wrote every song in our living room," bassist Este noted. "So it was surreal and kind of emotional to be like, 'We're going to the Grammys in a week and we're back in the living room trying to write a new album'".
HAIM fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the wait is almost over.
