Big Box, The Jordans and Heroes in Hiding join this lucky list of finalists, who will battle it out to play Arthur's Day!
The line-up has now been announced for the latest round of Our Thursdays showcases, which are scheduled to place around the country this Thursday, August 26. With six bands playing each of the four venues, it promises to be a brilliant night of rock'n'roll action.
The runners and riders are:
The Village, Dublin:
21 Demands, Maud In Cahoots, Six Foot Small, Harrie & The Maniax, Heroes In Hiding and Doris
The Empire, Belfast:
Bettylee & The Blonde, Naoimh O’Hagan, Picture The Sound, Shouting At Planes, Escape Fails and The Empire Saints
The Old Oak, Cork:
Goldfish Syndrome, I Caught Fire, Low Mountain, Reko, Bebop & Rocksteady and Saving J

Birdthistle, Hogan, Dave Peyton, People On Streets, Big Box, and The Jordans
Doors open for what are effectively the latest round of Guinness Our Thursdays showcases at the following times: Dublin 6.30pm; Galway 7.00pm; Belfast 8.00pm; and Cork 8.00pm. Admission to all four gigs is free, and open to over 18s. The winners from each showcase go through to September 9’s National Showcase Final in Lavery’s, Belfast, where they’ll perform in front of the entire judging panel and an audience of 900.
Up for grabs is an Arthur’s Day support in Dublin on September 23, with Snow Patrol, as well as the Guinness Our Thursdays bursary. The two runners-up will also get to play Arthur’s Day studio gigs in Cork or Galway.
