The Emerson, Lake & Palmer guitarist joins the depressingly long list of musicians we've lost in 2016
Tributes have been flooding in to King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer man Greg Lake who’s died aged 69.
Says his manager Stewart Young: “Yesterday, December 7th, I lost my best friend to a long and stubborn battle with cancer. Greg Lake will stay in my heart forever, as he has always been. His family would be grateful for privacy during this time of their grief.”
Lake also scored a massive hit in the ‘70s with ‘I Believe In Father Christmas’, which has remained a festive staple ever since.
It’s a double tragedy for ELP fans with Keith Emerson taking his own life earlier in the year.
Another sad loss with the passing of Greg Lake....You left some great music with us my friend & so like Keith , you will live on.
