Google Play has launched in Ireland today with customers who sign up by September 15 available to get a discounted monthly ‘All Access’ subscription of €7.99, which is €2 cheaper than their main Spotify and Deezer rivals.
They’re offering a free 30 days trial – credit card details need to be entered, but you won’t be charged.
“There's a world of music ready for you to discover,” reads the blurb. “Listen to any song, album or artist on All Access, whenever you want. It's easier than ever to find new favourites. Explore millions of songs by genre, including charts, new releases, staff picks and smart recommendations based on your tastes. Add any album to your library, with a click or a touch, and listen online or offline.”
There’s also a Standard package, which is free but again requires credit card details in case you want to purchase music through the site.
Needless to say, we’ll be giving it a thorough overnight testing and reporting back.
