Rhythm And Repose will be out June 15.
He's released albums with The Frames and The Swell Season to great acclaim over the past two decades and now, finally, Glen Hansard is stepping out alone.
His long-awaited debut solo record, entitled Rhythm And Repose now has an official release date of June 15 on Plateau. The result of 18 months spent living in New York, the album was recorded by Patrick Dillett and Thom Barlett (both having previously worked with The National) and features musicians that have played previously with the likes of Bon Iver and Leonard Cohen. He's also roped in half of Bruce Springsteen's current horn section.
Rhythm And Repose arrives at a busy time for Glen, as he hits wider audiences due to some tracks inclusion in the massive motion picture Hunger Games and sees Once, The Musical open on Broadway to excellent reviews.
