Glen Hansard plays Haitian benefit in Whelan's this weekend

There are also more fundraisers coming up in February.

A solo Glen Hansard plays a special Haiti benefit concert in Whelan's on January 24, tickets for which are €15 and go on sale at 10am on Thursday January 21 from Tickets.ie, the WaV Box-Office, City Discs and Road Records. All proceeds will go directly to Concern's earthquake appeal fund.

Their coffers will get a further boost in February when Andy Irvine, The Spook Of The Thirteenth Lock, Mumblin' Deaf Ro, The Hounds & Big Monster Love (14) and David Kitt, Legion Of Two, Patrick Kelleher, Goodtime John & a solo electronic Jape (17) also play the Wexford Street venue. Tickets are again €15 per show.
