A man has died in a fire on the site of the Glastonbury music festival in England. The man, thought to be in his 20's, suffered severe burns and was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol around 5:20pm last night.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police has since confirmed he died shortly after he arrived. They are treating the death as unexplained but do not believe it to be suspicious. Local reports from he Somerset Live website say the fire may have been a cause of a petrol spill in the Green Field area with fire brigade responses hindered by the muddy conditions on the site but neither have been confirmed.
Glastonbury 2016 will open the gates of Worthy Farm to around 175,000 people on Wednesday June 22. The headliners for this year's festival are Muse on the Friday, Adele on Saturday and Coldplay will bring the curtain down on Sunday.
