There clearly is no such thing as bad publicity as Brooks holds Ed Sheeran at bay…
Very few positives have come from the Croke Park fiasco over the past two weeks or so, but at least the country star can be pleased at how it's affecting his record sales.
Garth Brooks' Ultimate Hits, is once again the biggest selling record in Ireland this week, jumping from third position to the top.
Ed Sheeran's second album, X is in second place yet again, meaning last week's victor, 5 Seconds Of Summer's debut LP, is down to No. 3.
The highest charting Irish album is In A Perfect World. Kodaline's debut has had incredible legs since its release last year, and this week it rises two spots to No. 4, shifting Ghost Stories by Coldplay into fifth.
Paolo Nutini and Sam Smith are at No. 6 and No. 7 respectively before we have this week's highest new entry.
That title goes to Manic Street Preachers. Futurology, the swift and quite terrific follow-up to 2013's Rewind The Film, is at No. 8.
Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence and David Gray's Mutineers round off the Top 10.
