The National Theatre School of Ireland has swept the nominations.
Reaffirming its place as a prime centre of learning for promising Irish thesps and the theatrically-minded, the Gaiety School Of Acting has seen four of its graduates directly nominated in this year’s Irish Times Theatre Awards.
Aisling O’Sullivan (Class of 1991), Kate Gilmore (Class of 2013), Ian Toner (Class of 2013) and Carl Kennedy (Class of 2004) are all up for gongs.
The well-established O'Sullivan is in the 'Best Supporting Actress' category for her role in Bailegangaire, as is Kate Gilmore for her solo performance in Petals
Ian Toner is up for a 'Best Supporting Actor' award for Punk Rock. Outside of acting, Carl Kennedy will be looking to take home the 'Best Sound Design' accolade for Mr Foley The Radio Operator.
It follows plenty of achievements for Gaiety graduates in recent years, which saw graduates nominated for three awards in 2013 and six awards in 2012, and 'Best Actress' wins for Catherine Walker and Charlie Murphy both years.
The 2014 winners will be announced at a ceremony in the National Concert Hall on February 22.
