Fly Yellow Moon
Reissued solo effort from Guillemots man aims to capitalize on advertising hook-up
Re-released to tie in with the mainstream interest in his tear-jerking cover of Billy Joel's 'She's Always A Woman' (it was used in an English TV advertisement), the Guillemots mainman's swooning debut solo album is now beefed up with an extra four tracks, in a bid to ensnare high street shoppers. And why not? In many ways, Fly Yellow Moon thoroughly deserves the re-release as more people do need to hear songs like 'Barricades' and 'When You Walk In Room'. They're beautiful pieces of work. Dangerfield also has a fantastic ear for a melody: and if there's any justice the lilting 'Livewire' and 'So Brand New' will catapult him to greatness in no time.
