Iamsu! praises upcoming release.
It's been nearly four years since we've seen a Frank Ocean release.
Release dates for his Channel Orange followup have come and gone without fanfare. Ocean has been reclusive, dropping only the occasional cover or public statement.
Hope for a new album, however, seems stronger than ever.
In a recent post entitled "late" on his Boys Don't Cry website, Ocean included an image of a library due-date slip. The slip includes multiple anticipated release dates for his album Boys Don't Cry, with dates on the slip including July 2016 and 13 November 2016. Multiple sites have speculated that Boys Don't Cry may come during one of these time frames.
Tweets from California musician Iamsu! suggest that the album is completed.
Iamsu! thanks Ocean for allowing him to "be apart of history", suggesting that the artist appears on the new album. He also says Ocean does "not disappoint" and concludes his tweet by saying "Worth the wait!".
For the time being, watch Ocean's SNL performance of 'Thinkin Bout You' below.
