When Irish DJ Kormac takes to the stage, the Undergrowth Tent fills with people by the end of his theatrical opening. It's not hard to see why. Dramatic and exciting, Kormac is filled with energy and passion on stage.
Nothing at this show seems to be an effort for Kormac. He is entirely at ease on stage, and knows how to get a crowd going. He tells us that we have to give this everything we've got, because that's what he's doing. For once, the crowd listens. This is the most energy we've seen in a crowd at Forbidden Fruit since Dizzee Rascal's Friday performance - and Dizzee is not an easy man to rival.
What makes the show such a pleasure is the use of authentic drums as well as a guest singer for one of the tracks. This music is a rock-dance fusion that wouldn't be amiss in an indie film. Most of the tracks have a distinctly cinematic feel.
Kormac has taken the crowd by storm here today. His show is one of the best of the festival so far. It's exciting and full of energy. This is a DJ at the top of his game.
