Foos frontman says he doesn't really care
The last week has seen an explosion in conversation about Spotify; Taylor Swift pulled her entire back catalogue from the streaming service, while Bono appeared at the Web Summit espousing its benefits.
Now, Dave Grohl has had his say on the matter; and it turns out that he's not massively concerned.
Speaking at the announcement of the band's massive UK shows - and their headliner at Slane Castle - Grohl told journalists in London that he didn't care how people heard his music.
"Personally, I don't care," Grohl said. "I'm playing two nights at fuckin' Wembley next summer. I want people to hear our music. I don't care if you pay a dollar or $20 - just listen to a fucking song."
Debate over the service will continue to run; indeed, Radiohead's Phil Selway weighs in on the matter on the current issue of Hot Press, on sale today.
