Rubyworks Anniversary tickets now onsale

Three fantastic line-ups over three nights later this month.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 08 Aug 2012

The Rubyworks label is celebrating its first decade in existence with three special Dublin gigs. The Rubyworks birthday nights will take place in The Olympia, Whelans and Doyles, with performances from the likes of Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Fight Like Apes.

The first shin dig will take place in the beautiful surrounds of The Olympia Theatre on Sunday August 26. Rodrigo y Gabriela will headline the night, their only Irish appearance this year, followed by Ryan Sheridan, Wallis Bird and Josephine. Tickets are priced €25.90 and are onsale now here.

Whelans is the venue for a more intimate but equally impressive collection of acts on Monday August 27. Where Fight Like Apes, The Minutes, Funeral Suits and Deap Vally will continue the birthday celebrations. This will be Fight Like Apes only gig of the year and will be hotly tipped LA dirty blues duo Deap Vally’s first Irish gig. Tickets are priced €17.50 and are onsale now here.

The final gig on Tuesday August 28 will see the label return to its spiritual home at Doyles Ruby Sessions where an array of acts from across the label’s roster will perform. A small charitable donation will be accepted on the door on behalf of The Simon Community

The first hundred fans in the door of both The Olympia and Whelans gigs will get a free exclusive limited edition Rubyworks 10th birthday album sampler.
